BetTarget Review – An ever-improving site
Launched in 2021, BetTarget is a UK Sportsbook on the up, offering a ton of sports and markets on a well-designed and easy to use site. Start your journey with them by snapping up the appealing welcome bonus that comes with fair terms.
In this BetTarget review, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about how good they are in certain areas and how they stack up against the competition. Both their live betting and pre-match odds are competitive, but what else makes them stand out?
Top Five Features
- Generous welcome offer with fair terms
- Competitive odds
- Cover over 300,000 events a year
- Fantastic Match Tracker software
- Strong customer service levels
BetTarget Sign Up Offer
As a new customer, you can benefit from a BetTarget welcome bonus of £10. This is a free bet token that’s awarded to you once you have placed your first bet of £15. Many of the top bookies have a Bet and Get offer similar to this, so there’s nothing new here. If anything, it’s slightly less value than ones you’d see at, say, 888sport.
Nevertheless, it’s still a £10 free bet that you can get simply by betting with them. All you need to do is deposit a minimum of £10 and make sure you bet £15 on any sports market at odds of 1/1 (Evens) or higher to qualify.
You’ll get a £10 free bet credited to you upon settled and this can be used within 14 days. All you need to ensure is that the free bet is placed on a selection at odds of 4/5 or higher.
It’s also worth noting here that PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, and Paysafecard deposits are excluded from the offer. They’re not the only sportsbook to take this stance, so make sure your first deposit is with a debit card.
Key Terms & Conditions
- New players only
- £10 minimum deposit
- No BetTarget bonus code required
- £15 bet required to trigger the £10 free bet
- PayPal, Neteller, Skrill and Paysafecard deposits excluded
- Free bet must be used within 14 days
- The Free Bet Token can only be used on a bet with total odds of 4/5 (1.80) or higher
- Full T&Cs apply
BetTarget Promotions for Existing Players
At the time of writing this BetTarget review, there were a few ongoing promotions for customers to enjoy. Please note that the offers are regularly updated, so make sure you’re keeping a close eye on what’s currently available.
One that catches our eye is the matchday battles they offer. These are simply tournaments around certain leagues or events, such as Champions League matches. A £1,000 prize pool is added for everyone to battle against each other to see who comes out on top.
Odds boosts of up to 77% are also possible on combo bets, but we would have loved to see additional deposit bonuses or a popular bonus like that, which are very popular. Hopefully this is something they offer down the line, as plenty of competitors already do.
Sports Betting at BetTarget
As soon as you land on the sportsbook, you’ll notice a neat layout and bold blue colours, making it a pleasant experience overall. The list of sports is pretty extensive, and they can all be found on the menu to the left of the screen. You’ll come across top sports such as:
- Football
- Tennis
- Basketball
- Horse Racing
- American Football
- Golf
- Cricket
- Esports
They even cover the likes of MMA, Snooker, Volleyball and Water Polo if any of them take your fancy. What’s great about the menu is that you can use the slider to check for events for the current day, 24 hours, 3 days, a week or everything. It’s a really useful filter to narrow down your search. Not too many other bookies offer this.
Odds Comparison
After analysing the odds on offer here, they’re not the worst around, but you probably won’t find them top price anywhere either. They’re very much a middle of the road bookie in this regard, which makes them competitive.
For example, we used a Premier League match during our BetTarget review to see how their odds stacked up. In the game between Liverpool and Leicester City, you could get odds of 27/100 on Liverpool to win, with Leicester at 169/20 and the draw at 11/2.
In contrast, bet365 had Liverpool at 1/4, with Leicester at 9/1 and the draw on par with BetTarget at 11/2. As you can see here, they match bet365 in all areas really, so although you may be getting a worse price on some markets and selections, they beat even the best in others.
Sportsbook Features at BetTarget
You will find all of the standard features here at BetTarget as you would with many of the best sports betting sites in the UK. Even if you’re completely new to online betting, you’ll be able to get to grips with the site really quickly. It’s simple to navigate and it’s really easy to get your bets on due to the simple betting slip and cashout options available.
Let’s elaborate on the features available to you so that you can understand fully how it all works:
Quick Acca
Choose to mix your bets up across different sports and events on the same betting slip. This gives you a varied accumulator that you’ve put together yourself.
Cashout
Live betting is an extremely important part of betting on sport, and BetTarget do it well with a range of markets available that come with cashout. It’s available on many markets and can also be used on combo bets. We had a browse of everything they had available and we could see that cashout was an option on most events.
Bet Builder
This is available at most online bookies now, so it’s great to see it available here too. It’s a very easy way of building your accumulator. Simply click a selection to automatically add it to your betslip. You’ll be alerted if any selections are added that can’t be combined as part of the same bet.
BetTarget Live Betting
As soon as you land on the sportsbook page, you’ll see all of the live games currently taking place on the main interface. It will show football by default, but all sports that have live action will be visible and available to click through to.
To view the dedicated in-play area, you’ll notice two options in the menu on the left – Betting and In-Play. Select In-Play and you’ll see everything that’s available for betting live. You don’t need to use your BetTarget login to see this either, you can view it all without being logged in.
You’ll also find that betting on live games on your smartphone or tablet is really easy too. The simple layout helps, and as long as you can get your bet on quickly, the odds will always be competitive.
Live Streaming
At the time of writing this BetTarget review, live streaming wasn’t an option, even though it does state on the site that there is “high impact video streaming”. Hopefully, it’s something they add in the future as it really makes you stand out from the competition if you can offer live streaming for numerous sports and events.
You can, however, keep tabs on the action on a match tracker. This comes complete with nice graphics and detailed statistics on the game in question.
BetTarget App and Mobile Betting
There is a BetTarget App in the Google Play Store for Android users, but please refrain from getting this as it doesn’t work. As soon as we downloaded it to test it out, we were greeted with a country restriction message. This essentially means that the app doesn’t work in the UK. The mobile site works perfectly well and is a suitable alternative.
Is There a BetTarget VIP Club?
No, there’s no VIP club or loyalty program at BetTarget. Many bettors love a VIP club or loyalty scheme as they’re always getting rewarded for betting as they would normally. We’d love to see something added here, but with plenty of promotions to get stuck into as an existing customer, it’s not the be-all and end-all.
UK Payment Methods
As you can see from the list above, there are a few options for customers, with popular methods such as PayPal and MuchBetter available, which is good to see. However, please note that you should deposit initially with a debit card as e-wallets are excluded from the welcome bonus.
There are no BetTarget withdrawal fees, which is also great news. Some new sites like to charge a small fee, which does nothing to entice players to the site.
The only negative here is the withdrawal timeframe. Up to six working days for some withdrawals is pretty poor when you compare that to some of the best on the market. Some e-wallet payouts are instant these days, so, again, it’s disappointing to see such a long timeframe here in comparison.
Is BetTarget Safe?
Licenced in the UK and Malta, this operator is trustworthy and adheres to all the rules and regulations set out by the two separate jurisdictions. They also use 128-but SSL Encryption Technology, which means your personal information will never be compromised.
Responsible Gambling is something that BetTarget takes seriously. There’s a dedicated section around setting deposits limits and time limits. This can be found in the footer of the site. There’s also plenty of information about the different organisations that can help if you ever need it.
Customer Support
The support here is a bit of a mixed bag. While the FAQ section is very detailed and covers many common questions with a detailed answer, the same can’t be said for BetTarget’s live chat.
The live agents were very prompt to reply initially, but we felt that they lacked some knowledge compared to a lot of other agents at some of the bigger sites in the industry.
A couple of the questions we asked they didn’t know the answer to, which left us wondering if live chat is the best option. Probably not. We’d suggest using the FAQs as much as possible. From information on your BetTarget account to how to place bets, you should find what you’re looking for here.
Contact Details
- Live chat – 7 days a week between 8am and midnight UK time
- FAQs – Yes
- Email – Via online contact form
- Phone – N/A
Review Summary
It might not be up there among the best new betting sites ever, but it’s a solid sportsbook with a professional look and competitive odds. There’s much more going for it with a great number of sports and markets on offer as well as a generous welcome bonus.
Live chat was lacking slightly, and there may not be a VIP club or any live streaming, but these are all areas the operator can work on. Fix these niggles and they’ll be up there with some of the best.
Overall, it’s a nice enough sportsbook that has an appealing welcome off. So what are you waiting for? Give them a try! We hope you’ve found this BetTarget review useful. Good luck with your bets.
BetTarget FAQs
Is there a BetTarget Welcome Bonus?
Yes. New customers can enjoy a £10 welcome bonus as a free bet if they place a bet of £15 or more on any selection at odds of 1/1 (Evens) or higher. T&Cs apply of course, and we cover them all and a lot more in our review.
What sports can I bet on at BetTarget?
All of the popular sports are there to bet on. From MMA and Darts to Football and Cricket, there’s something for everyone. They even have a Specials section where you can bet on events such as The Oscars and political elections.
Is there are BetTarget app?
There’s no iOS or Android app for UK customers, so please make use of the mobile site. It works well on smaller screens and there’s no difference between this and the desktop site in terms of games you can access and offers you can get.
Is BetTarget safe?
Absolutely. It holds a valid licence in the UK as well as Malta. There are also plenty of security measures in place to ensure everyone’s personal data is safe and secure.
